We were recently invited to a book release party for Caroline Jhingory‘s book “Half My Size.” The book details her journey of losing 150 pounds and keeping it off for 10 years. There was no surgery or fad diet, she just ate right and exercised. Her story is an inspirational one for those, like myself, who are trying to adopt and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

As we are in the beginning of a new year, some have probably included weight loss on their new year’s resolutions. Many times, the weight loss efforts stop after January because the motivation ceases. This is why it’s so important to have a good support system. Caroline stressed this when she spoke at her event. She says that she couldn’t have lost the weight and kept it off without the support of her parents and the engagement she has with followers on social media.

At the party, hosted by WPGC’s Sunni (who has a weight loss success story herself), Caroline expressed to attendees that weight loss is a journey. There is no temporary solution to losing and keeping off the weight. It’s a lifestyle. Think she doesn’t know what she’s talking about…. Caroline is also a certified health and wellness expert and has been featured on Dr. Oz, Good Morning America and in People Magazine.

Caroline said reach out to her (FB, Twitter). She loves the questions. Visit her website too. She provides recipes and fitness tips.

I hope that you find the continued motivation to get you to a healthy you. You’re not alone. I’m on the journey, too. 🙂
